Indian Oil (Mauritius) Limited has a storage terminal with a capacity of 37,000 kiloliters located at Port Louis, covering an area of 24,000 square meters. The terminal boasts state-of-the-art integrated safety management systems for the storage and delivery of various petroleum products such as MoGas, GasOil, Jet A1, Marine GasOil, Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil, Lube, and Petrochemicals.
IOML is the only petroleum company in Mauritius that has invested in segregated pipelines for the receipt and delivey of various products to ensure the highest level of product quality. The company has a wide network of pipelines at New Oil Jetty (NOJ), Quay1, Quay2, Quay 3, and Quay-4, which allows it to receive and deliver products efficiently at various jetties and deliver bunker fuel to customers. The company has also hired a barge for the delivery of bunker fuel in the inner and outer anchorage of the port area.
The terminal has an automated tank lorry filling shed with four bays for loading aviation and non-aviation products. IOML has invested heavily in safety infrastructure, with extensive firefighting facilities like water storage tanks (2830 KL), fire engines, hydrant networks, sprinklers, foam pourer systems, and emergency shutdown systems. Regular training and drills are conducted to ensure preparedness in case of any emergency.
IOML owns a 20% share of Mer Rouge Oil Storage Terminal Ltd (MOST), which serves as the strategic reserve for Mogas and Gasoil in Mauritius. MOST has a total storage capacity of 25,000 metric tons for Mogas (15,000 MT) and Gas Oil (10,000 MT).
The company also owns a 33.17% share in JOINT UTILISERS HYDRANT INSTALLATIONS (JUHI), which is a joint venture company of Indian Oil (Mauritius) Limited, Total Energies, VIVO, and Engen. JUHI has a total storage capacity of 16500 KL. JetA1 from the JV partners is stored JUHI for supplies to the airport.
Lastly, the company owns a 25% share in JOINT INTO PLANE (JIP), which is a joint venture company of Indian Oil (Mauritius) Limited, Total Energies, VIVO, and Engen. While JUHI stores the product at Airport, JIP executes the actual refueling of Aircrafts. JIP has a hydrant network in the airport and bowsers for refueling JetA1 to aircraft.
