Mr Saumitra P Srivastava is a Civil Engineering Graduate from IIT, Roorkee and has an Executive MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, Mumbai. Mr Srivastava Joined Indian Oil Corporation in 1993 and has a rich experience of over 30 years in LPG and Retail Business. He has worked as Head of Retail Transformation group and headed the Retail Business for North and East of India. He has headed Corporate Strategy function of Indian Oil Corporation as Executive Director (Corporate Strategy) where he was working on various strategic initiatives, to enhance customer satisfaction and bring efficiency in operations. Mr Saumitra P Srivastava has joined as Chairman of Indian Oil (Mauritius) Ltd. in Aug’25.
He has taken charge for Director (Marketing) of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd in Oct’25 overlooking marketing division and all marketing functions Retail, Institutional Business, Operations, LPG, Aviation, Bunkering, Lubricants etc for India. He is serving as Chairman for Indian Oil Petronas Pvt Ltd and Board of Director for many other subsidiaries and JVs of Indian Oil Corporation.
He has extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in downstream operations, marketing, and strategy. He has a strong track record of driving business growth, improving profitability, and enhancing customer satisfaction. His leadership style is collaborative and results-oriented. At Indian Oil, he has led several transformation initiatives, including structured non-fuel convenience stores, Dhruva—a retail transformation project—and other technology and digitalisation projects.
He has held several key sales positions, including leading divisional offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. He also managed sales operations for western Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, and served as head of Maharashtra and Goa, overseeing all major products and businesses across these states.
