Ms. Namita B. Jagarnath Hardowar is a distinguished professional with over 25 years of expertise in strategy, governance, leadership development, and organizational transformation. Her illustrious career seamlessly bridges both corporate and public sectors, making impactful contributions across diverse industries such as retail, financial services, human resource development, manufacturing, airlines, and consulting.
Ms. Namita began her career at Air Mauritius, The National Airline of Mauritius and later on she worked with other esteemed organizations including CIEL Textiles and CMH Continent. Following a successful corporate tenure, she transitioned to the public sector and worked with Mauritius Institute of Training and Development (MITD) and the Financial Services Commission (FSC). Her academic contributions include serving as a lecturer at the University of Mauritius and facilitating numerous regional workshops.
Ms. Namita's board-level experience is extensive and distinguished. She recently served as President of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) and currently chairs the Board of the Mediation and Arbitration Center (MARC). She is a Fellow Member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors (MIOD) and a Past President of the Association Mauricienne des Femmes Chefs D’Entreprises (AMFCE).
Ms. Namita has been recognized as one of the top 100 Most Influential Women in Mauritius, and her accolades include the HR Excellence Award from the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) and the Africa’s Woman Leaders award from CMO Asia. In March 2024, she was honored with the Commander of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean (CSK) for her significant contributions to business development and was elected to the Board of the COMESA Business Council (CBC). She is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Institutional Expert Services (IES), an organization which focuses on advisory, consulting, and capacity building.
Ms. Namita holds an MSc in Human Resource Studies and a BSc in Management Studies, complemented by certifications from Victoria University of Wellington. She remains deeply engaged in research and consultancy projects, maintaining a robust presence in professional and board memberships, and continues to drive excellence in every endeavor she undertakes.
