Mr. Binay Kumar is an MBA (Marketing) from the University of Pune and a Certified Petroleum Manager from the IndianOil Institute of Petroleum Management, Gurugram. He has further enhanced his managerial expertise through multiple executive programs including at IIFT Delhi and IIM Kolkata.

With over 21 years of extensive experience in Retail Sales at Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Mr. Kumar is recognized for his consistent performance, strong execution capabilities, and result-oriented approach. Since joining IOCL in 2005, he has held diverse roles across retail, managing highly competitive markets spanning metro, urban, rural, and highway segments across states such as Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Delhi, and Rajasthan.

Prior to joining IOML on 23rd February 2026, he was serving as Deputy General Manager (Retail Sales) at Uttar Pradesh State Office II, Noida, where he handled critical portfolios including commissioning, highway marketing, and WSA expansion.
In his role as Divisional Retail Sales Head, he successfully led large-scale modernization and network expansion initiatives, notably driving a significant turnaround of the Belgaum Divisional Office(Karnataka).

During his tenure at Delhi Divisional Office, he played a pivotal role in implementing key retail initiatives such as retail transformation, automation, sales performance enhancement, non-fuel revenue growth, branded fuels, sales promotion, and digital payment enablement under the MOPNG Cashless Task Force.

Mr. Kumar has been an integral part of the Retail Transformation initiative, Project Dhruva, since its pilot phase in November 2016, contributing to Delhi DO being at Top rankings on the Dhruva Leader Board. His contributions have significantly supported the modernization and transformation of retail outlets.

He has received numerous accolades from the organization in recognition of his professional excellence and contributions to the retail business.

His key focus areas include driving business growth through network expansion, building long-term relationships with dealers and customers, and leveraging technology to enhance value delivery for all stakeholders.
