Assistant Vice President (Operations)
Mr. Sanal R is a Civil Engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology, Srinagar. He has joined IOML on 8th April 2025 as Assistant Vice President (Operations).
Hailing from Andaman & Nicobar Islands (India), Mr. Sanal joined Indian Oil (IOCL), the parent company of IOML in 2010 at Port Blair Terminal. He advanced through various roles in Operations and Retail Sales (Marketing) at IOCL. Before joining at IOML, he held multiple leadership positions at a very young age in the Operating Terminals in Sikkim (India) and Karnataka (India) having contrasting geographies, multiple logistical challenges and vivid cultures.
During his tenure in Retail Sales at Kolkata, West Bengal, he was adjudged amongst the top 3 best performing Field Officers across PAN India. He was instrumental in improving the market share of Petrol (Mogas) for IOCL in a very competitive market
Mr. Sanal has also completed multiple executive and leadership development programs from various prestigious Indian institutes like IIT Kharagpur, IIM Kolkata, IIM Lucknow, XLRI Bhubaneshwar, NITIE Mumbai and NISA Hyderabad.
Mr. Sanal believes in unique people centric approach with impetus on Team Building, intertwined with the adoption of innovative technology to propel teams to achieve the targets.
Apart from his professional excellence, he is a philanthropist, loves singing classical music and exploring more on spirituality and self-realization.
